criindex.com is operated by CRI Ltd (“CRI”, “we”). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. For anything relating to this notice or your personal data, contact us at hello@criindex.com.
The personal data you actively give us on this website is what you type into the demo-request form: your name, work email address, and company. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Web fonts are served by Google Fonts, which processes your IP address to deliver them. Our hosting provider also records standard server logs (including your IP address), kept for a short period for security and abuse prevention; when you submit the form, our application server briefly processes your IP address for rate limiting — it is not stored with your request.
We use your details for one purpose: to respond to your demo request and follow up on that conversation. Our lawful basis under UK GDPR is legitimate interests — responding to a business enquiry you have made about our product. We do not add you to marketing lists, and we never sell or share your details for advertising. Providing your details is entirely voluntary — without them we simply can’t arrange the demo. We don’t use your details for any automated decision-making or profiling.
Render and Google act as our service providers under their data-processing terms. Google Fonts processes the font-request IP address under Google’s own privacy policy. Render and Google may process this data outside the UK, including in the United States; where they do, the transfer relies on UK-approved safeguards, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the UK Addendum to standard contractual clauses.
It depends on where the conversation goes. While we’re in an active conversation with you, we keep your details. If nothing comes of it, we delete them no later than 12 months after our last contact. If your company becomes a customer, we keep your business contact details for the life of our contract and for up to six years after it ends — the period we may need them to meet our legal, accounting and contractual obligations.
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or receive it in a portable format. You can also object at any time to our use of your details, and we will stop. Email hello@criindex.com and we’ll respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
